Group Therapy
Some things are easier to work through with people who understand.
Group therapy brings together a clinician and several people working on related concerns. The group dynamic often provides something individual therapy can't — the recognition that you are not the only one, and the chance to learn from how others navigate similar terrain.
Sometimes a therapist recommends group work over individual treatment because it's simply the better fit for a particular concern. Groups can support people whose mental health makes daily life difficult, and equally support people without pressing concerns who want skill-building, connection, or structured practice.
